The tenth update for SAND introduces a new gameplay mechanic alongside fixes for frequently reported issues and additional quality of life changes.
Update #10 has been released for SAND. The update centers on a new gameplay mechanic while also addressing several issues that players have commonly reported.
Beyond the new mechanic, this patch includes further quality of life improvements aimed at refining the player experience.
What's new
- Added “Threat” mechanic
- Crew that has destroyed X* tramplers in a single expedition gets marked as a “Threat”:
- *In Solo expeditions - 2 tramplers
- *In Duo, Small Crews, and Large Crew expeditions - 3 tramplers
- If a team captured other tramplers, then all of their tramplers will be marked as a “Threat”
- All other players in the same session are able to see the marked tramplers
- “Threat” status can be lost by:
- Losing all the tramplers related to that crew
- Extracting
- Using a radio in the municipality building
- Made matchmaking changes for the new players
- The first couple of matches new players will be matched with new players
- Added a report number after reporting the player
- This is done, so you can provide any additional information through Discord or Customer Care. We will not provide information on the results of your report.
- Fixed one of the main reasons that Voyage servers would crash over time
- In some cases, game objects and/or colliders increased memory usage and the physics engine’s workload.
- Fixed the issue where ammo type couldn’t be changed in the Outlaw control scheme if the weapon is not fully loaded
- Fixed the issue where the player’s camera would become corrupted during interaction with a Turret or Control Panel if Orbital Strike was previously used. Occurred with Smuggler weapon handling Mode enabled
- Fixed the issue where uncommon ammo couldn’t be loaded into the slots of the Experimental 80 mm turret
- Fixed the issue where loaded ammo would disappear after packing a turret with a full inventory slot
- Fixed the issue where Low Heat 40 mm Turret Ammo couldn’t be extracted
- Fixed the issue where fall damage wasn’t incorrectly received when reentering the game on disconnect
- Fixed the issue where the game would freeze briefly when closing the Players List
